Some unfortunate people have never been to Colorado and don't know what to expect. Well, from those of us who have been, here's a peak:
Bring a blanket and pillow (and tie your stroller to the coat hanger hook in the back of your van so it doesn't fall on the kids) and bring some barbies for the girls to play with. (Sewing machine?? Maybe we should just make all our clothes for the family pictures, ya know? Like old times:) )
Behold what your sewing machine can do:
Plenty of vistas around
Horseback riding for 4. (Did you have to pay by the horse back then, so you just threw the whole family on its back?)
This actually looks cool. Nice country. This time we won't need a guide. Trent can just show us how to ride and lead us on our own true wild west adventure.
Don't forget to bring your pennies.
Do they have the train schedule posted online so we know when it passes by?
Court gets bunny eared.
Steph came accessorized. Glasses and purse. So glamorous.
Don't worry kids, just look ahead at me and smile....
'Been doin' this for years.
Used to have table tennis on top level of pool area.
Mesa Verde
You will have to work for your food as well this upcoming trip.
Fish hatchery.
Or if you prefer, head down to a nearby lake and catch your own. Looks like this guy can show you how it's done. Impressive.
Don't expect all play and no work.
(I don't think this is from Colorado trip. Maybe on the way to Glacier Natnl Park?)
If you're a light sleeper, grab a few of these. It'll be some cozy quarters.
...and we can always throw a couple of the kids in the tub if you need some extra space. They don't mind. Ask Scotty.
King Family
A place for all to gather. Now, act like we like each other.

Be Real
After perusing through some of the photos, there seems to be a recurring problem.
Some of the following people didn't quite understand what it meant to look at the camera and smile....at least the way normal people do.
Oh dear, indecent exposure.
But that's ok, I'm tough.
See. I come packing.
More indecent exposure. This time it's not my fault.
She got the look at the camera part right.
Looking and smiling at the same time, but somehow it's still just not 'normal'.
I don't think that counts as a smile.
Your game on, Bud?
Looking and smiling. But added some arm and leg action.
Substituted the tongue for the leg in this one.
At least in Utah we give our kids jackets when they play in the snow. :) (This was in Durango, CO)
Reminds me of the movie quote, "Mermaid!! Off the port bow!!!" (Free pizza to the first person who correctly identifies the movie and character who said it.)
Mom got it right. Maddy is trying to figure out what's happening and Ash.....was just listening to some Bob Marley.
Looking, but not smiling. And maybe try it when feet instead of arms are on the ground. At least I think that's what most normal people do.
Cheeser face
But how can you blame the above 6 kids?? They never had a chance when coming from these two people.....
(I'm sure there are more.....so we may just have to do several installments, cause hey, this makes for some good entertainment on a slow day).

This one could go either way....Court or Mom.

Hunts of Past
Same backyard. Same people. A few new recruits have been added since these old Easter Egg Hunts.
Nice job, Easter Bunny!
At least they didn't have to wear the white gloves and white hats to Church. We're not in Britain.
This year, the little red head in the picture was helping out another kid about her size and just about in this same exact spot.
